I grew into RPG's around the time games like ff7, Thousand Arms and Saga Frontier were being introduced to the western world, and feel like this style would be more in line with my artistic outlook. I know that the engine isn't built for it. I'm just looking to learn as much as possible right now. I have an ambitious project that I want to vet, and was wondering if it's possible to create an entire game in isometric view? If so, would it be possible to make games akin to the art style of Saga Frontier 2 or even Thousand Arms, the difference being static backgrounds as opposed to a camera you can turn with buttons.Īgain, I know the project is ambitious.
